Homeschool Ski Day

What an awesome way to start the New Year!
First day of school and we are at Beaver Mountain for
Homeschool Ski Day....
or Snowboard Day!
Victoria bought herself a nice pair of ski goggles and we found an awesome deal on ski pants at the Ski Swap this year and Nana and Poppa gave her a new pair of ski gloves for Christmas.
She is all set!
We lost her ski buddy (Kaleb) this year since he is attending Bridgerland full time. So Victoria has a new ski buddy this year....Aunt Kathy to the rescue! She is a fun person to be around. A little crazy at times, which taps into the unleashed side of me. The kids usually have a pretty good time around her. She makes life interesting!
I was really bummed that I didn't ski. After 18 months of healing my knee after the backpacking injury, I don't dare do anything to aggravate my knee. So I will stick to Cross Country skiing. Kaleb and I got a good deal on two pairs. I love it! So, in the mean time, I have FOMO....fear of missing out....so I hung out in the lodge working on book stuff that has been needing to be done. All the stuff that I don't like taking the time to do, planning school, researching Animal Science ideas...that kind of stuff. It was fun to sit at the tables and then stare out the windows watching all these skiers coming down the hill.
Our friends Wade and his son Jeremy, got Victoria to go all the way to the top. They rode two ski lifts to the top and made their way down. She said it was a little scary riding the lift. She and Jeremy were buddies on the way up. She said they had funny, off the wall, conversations.
Here is Jeremy and his Dad. We have a pretty good time when we are around them.
New Years Eve this year was a blast!
We all had an awesome day!
And then we got stuck in the parking lot and had to have three people push us out and be on our way.
It was kind of fun.
