Two Little Babies

Victoria saved her money and adopted two precious little Dwarf Nigerian goats from her 4H leader. She has the intention of breeding them and selling their offspring. They are absolutely adorable. She named the buckling Jacks, short for Jackson and the doeling she named Lizzy.
I had to use my NICU expertise in getting the buckling to nipple feed effectively from a bottle. He really had a hard time figuring out the bottle. I would hold him in my arms and get him to atleast take an ounce of milk while Lizzy woofed down 5 ounces like gang busters.
It literally took him two whole weeks to get the hang of it. In the meantime we were feeding him every two hours around the clock just to make sure that he was getting enough.
It helped that our next door neighbor is a retired vet and the neighbor across the street raises sheep.

Victoria has assumed full responsibility. They have preoccupied almost all of her time.
It is really hard to get anything done because they are so much fun to be with. It is really sweet how they nuzzle in to your arms when being held and how they have their little special goat chatter that they have with each other.
