Jared is ready for an adventure....
He is on his way with our old church, All Saints Lutheran Church, to Louisiana for the ELCA Youth Gathering. He is about to board on his very first flight in an airplane.
Is he worried?
Jared worried?
Nope, not Jared.
Me? am I worried?
You betcha!
Is he ready at the age of 16 to go with 30 other kids and adults to LA?
Yeah, he's ready.
When I dropped Jared off at the airport, he picked up his suitcase by the handle to carry. I reminded him that it had a handle and wheels. He refused to use the wheels....he didn't want to look like a Dork. I guess all the other thousand passengers in the airport were Dorks for pulling their suitcase. But not Jared. He didn't want to draw attention to himself. He wasn't going to pull his suitcase like everyone else.
